Just found your interesting site. I have followed Mickey Gee since I picked up the Memphos Bend LP in Cardiff Market sometime in the 70's. Have since transferred it to CD format. I also have the recordings Memphis Bend did for the ' It's Rock 'N' Roll' BBC Radio prog' in the 70's and the Geraint Watkins & Dominators LP that Mickey played on. I was never able to catch Mickey live having been away from Cardiff for some 40 odd years. I did once have a chance to see him in Bridgend, whilst visiting a friend, but unfortunately Mickey did not turn up that night.

I enjoyed the video of the tribute night at the Globe(I lived on Penylan Hill as a child and saw many films in the Globe cinema) wish I could have been there.

By the time United Artists released this album Memphis Bend had disbanded. If the the album had been released earlier it would have been necessary to have re-written the history of Welsh Rockabilly. These guys had drawn the blueprint that the Stray Cats were to copy!
The original tapes are still in a vault somewhere! Why?
